GEO-MONTAN KKT. was founded in 1982. As the first private geological services provider in Hungary, it offers geological and environmental exploratory work, research, consultancy and surveying. The company's clients are mainly local governments, mining enterprises, and well established private companies like RTZ, TESCO, Kavicsunion, UTEC. When the National Geological Survey Institute called for tender to reambulate gold mining in Hungary, it was based on our research on old historical gold mines in the Telkibánya region.
Beside the more traditional geo-scientific approach the company has been involved in a number of environmental engineering projects as well. It surveyed the reconstruction site of the Cliff Chapel on Gellért Hill in Budapest, the Miskolctapolca City Thermal Cave and surveyed the underground structure of the Buda Mountains around the capital. The company employs remote sensing technology, satellite imagery and aerial photography as well. Remote sensing was used when we first mapped paleovulcanic and tectonic structures in the TOKAJ and BÜKK mountains regions.
GEONARDO Ltd. is an environmental technology firm, and a technical consulting service specialised in natural resources management, applied remote sensing, Geographical Information Systems development and regional planning. GEONARDO provides the following consulting services:
