This project is supported by the European Commission under the 5th RTD Framework Programme, which is the predecessor of the present 6th Framework Programme and contributing to the implementation of the Key Action Global Change, Climate and Biodiversity within the Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development.
The contract number is: ENK5-CT-2002-80647.

The main aim of the project is to assess the opportunities of the energy forest planting on those areas of Central-Eastern Europe, where the agricultural production is not economical. The project started on 1st of November 2002 and its duration is 18 months.
